My pursuit of happy began with searching the Scriptures for every “blessed is,” “blessed be,” and “blessed are” I came across. They certainly don’t begin and end with the beatitudes in the sermon on the mount! I’ll be writing about many of these happy principles on the blog in-depth, but I thought I should provide you with the “master list” to whet your appetite and hopefully spark your own study in the Scriptures.

(Misc.) Old Testament Blessings

“Blessed be everyone who blesses you (Jacob)!” Genesis 27:29

“Blessed are those who bless you (Israel).” Numbers 24:9

“Blessed is the one whom God reproves.” Job 5:17

Psalms Blessings

“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law he meditates day and night.” Psalm 1:1-2
